Melinda and Tom traveled from West Seattle to Sedona to celebrate their engagement with a portrait session among the red rocks. We began at Secret Slickrock, where their easygoing personalities immediately made the session feel relaxed and fun. Like many great couples, they spent as much time laughing together as they did posing for photographs.
From there, we headed to Chavez Ranch Road for a change of scenery and a wardrobe change. The quieter setting gave us an opportunity to create a different look while still keeping the focus on the connection between them. Along the way, conversations about wedding plans, travel, and their shared love of pizza provided plenty of material for laughs.
As sunset approached, we made our way to Cathedral Rock View for the final part of the session. The warm evening light and dramatic red rock backdrop provided a fitting conclusion to an already memorable afternoon. Engagement sessions are often about more than photographs. They give couples a chance to slow down, spend time together, and celebrate a chapter of life that passes quickly. For Melinda and Tom, Sedona provided the perfect setting to do exactly that.
